lillibetI just got a great call from my best friend, who announced "I just had the best telemarketing experience!"
Apparently he picked up a call for his husband, Tom, from a Southern-accented telemarketer and after he explained that Tom is not at home, the woman asked if she could please speak to Tom's spouse, steve said "Speaking!" She paused and said "You're married to Tom?" "Yes, ma'am," he responded, "this is Massachusetts." She hesitated again and then launched into her spiel without further question.
